PROGRAM:
Day 1
Arrival at at Florence airport. Transfer by bus from the Airport to Collodi (PT) on the road towards Lucca (LU).
Visit to the Italian Gardens of Villa Garzoni in Pescia, recently restored and the ones, exactly in front of them, of Villa Collodi, with the very plants and trees contributing to create the atmosphere and the episodes in the story of the Adventures of Pinocchio. A little interesting garden created by the famous Tuscan landscape designer Pietro Porcinai. Transfer to Lucca.
Day 1
Arrival at Florence airport. Transfer by bus from the Airport to Collodi (PT) on the road towards Lucca (LU). Day 2
In the morning free time for a short walk in the historical centre of Lucca, with the marvellous Romanesque cathedral, medieval houses and towers, the famous elliptical square Anfiteatro.
The bus drives on the hill east of Lucca town where in the past many important families built their gorgeous villas. Visit to the gardens of the Villa Reale la Marlia, created by Elisa Baciocchi, Napoleone sister, connecting lands and old buildings in a truly harmonic landscape. Moving then to Villa Torrigiani, built in Renaissance period then restored and adapted to baroque style by Marquis Nicolao Santini, the ambassador of Lucca at Luis XIV court. Last visit to Villa Grabau, with the perfectly conserved “limonaia” built in 1640 where the Lemon plants in pots are recovered in winter. Return in Lucca.

Day 3
The group moves towards Settignano, near Firenze. The first place to visit is the Villa la Gamberaia in Settignano. Visit to the garden and to the Villa itself, surrounded by olive trees, with some cypresses in the woods.
Transfer to the Fiesole hill in the afternoon, to visit Villa Peyron and Villa Medici, classical and formal examples of Tuscany garden. Villa Medici has been defined the prototype of the Renaissance villa and it has probably been designed by the famous artist Leon Battista Alberti. Close to villa Medici, rest for an aperitif in Villa dei Conti Marzotto, with its beautiful view on the forest of Vincigliata, upon Florence.

Day 4
Transfer with the group bus towards Firenze.
Walking towards the beautiful gardens in the centre of Florence. On the hill through Bardini Garden, recently restored, which has an incredible and famous view on the centre of the city.
Walking towards the Boboli garden especially known for the famous fountain Oceanus in the centre of an isle and for its history.
Out of the Boboli visit to Torrigiani Garden, where the marquis Vieri Torrigiani shows the garden and the tower in the middle of it and offers an aperitif in front of his house.

Day 5
Morning free to visit Firenze. We suggest to organize a group to reach Piazzale Michelangelo and visit the garden of the Italian Iris Society and the Rose Garden near the Arno river.
